This is a room in the emergency area that they give you after you go to the triage area.. Usually, the order goes like this if you're not to hurt is that you come in and sign in and sit down. Then they call you up to the desk to do your vitals you sit down again (as long as you don't have any breathing problems or heart issues) so you wait until you go into the room to talk to the triage nurse. Again as long as it's not too dangerous or vital, you will sit back down again after you see the triage nurse. The old then go out and wait in the waiting room again, until you got a room or see a doctor. Of course this is all null and void if you come in an ambulance Or you coming with extreme emergency like heavy bleeding heart attack or something of that nature very dangerous or very immediate.
